Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jamal joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in April of 2025.
Jamal earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Southeastern Louisiana University. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Jamal attended law school at the University of Cincinnati, College of Law in 2018. As a law student, he was a member of the Criminal Law Society and the National Lawyers’ Guild. In his second year of law school, Jamal was accepted as a student fellow in the Ohio Innocence Project, a non-profit organization composed of attorneys and students who work to get wrongfully convicted inmates out of prison.
Upon graduating law school and passing the Ohio State Bar Exam in 2021, Jamal became a Public Defender in Hamilton County. As a public defender, he represented adults and youth charged with crimes under the Ohio Revised Code.
In his spare time, Jamal enjoys being outdoors and playing sports such as tennis and volleyball. He is also as an avid fan of comic books and reality television.
